Tumble dryer repair guides
Guides for a tumble dryer that is not heating, takes too long to dry or has a drum that is not turning.
Why Is My Tumble Dryer Not Heating?
A tumble dryer that turns but does not heat usually has a blocked lint filter, a blocked vent hose or condenser unit, or a full water tank. You can check those.
Why Is My Tumble Dryer Drum Not Turning?
The most common reason a tumble dryer drum stops turning is a broken drive belt. A worn tensioner pulley, worn drum rollers, a failed motor or a faulty door switch can also stop it.
Why Is My Tumble Dryer Taking Too Long to Dry?
Slow drying is usually an airflow problem. The lint filter is blocked, the vent hose is crushed or full of lint, or on a condenser dryer the water tank is full or the condenser is clogged.
